The World Poker Congress (WPC) has announced the dates and venue for the second annual World Poker Congress. The WPC will be held on the 29th and 30th November 2007 at the Westin Dragonara resort in Malta. A number of well known poker industry leaders will be speaking at the congress. The World Poker Congress is the only event that examines synergies between land based and online poker rooms.

The Westin Dragonara resort is based in the idyllic seaside town of St Julians, and is less than a minutes walk from the Dragonara Casino. This casino being one of the venues in Anthony Holden's best selling poker book "Big Deal" where he chronicles his one year tour on the poker circuit.

Speakers include Jeffrey Pollack from Harrah's Entertainment, who will be one of the speakers giving the Opening Keynote Address. Jeffrey is the Commissioner of the World Series of Poker. The other speaker for the Opening Keynote Address is Steven Lipscomb from WPT Enterprises. Steven Lipscomb is the founder and CEO of the World Poker Tour. Other speakers include, Matt Savage the well known Tournament Director, who will be moderating a number of sessions.
